The fixture that loads itself
An empty management app is useless. If a coach has to enter the fixture by hand before using it, they give up before they start.
The blank-slate problem
Before Renó, the fixture was copied by hand. Moving it into a new app would have been the same thing under another name: more work before seeing any benefit.
So we asked the opposite question: what has to be loaded already for a coach to log in for the first time and start preparing their next match?
Straight from the official source
The answer was our own scraper, which pulls the tournament's official fixtures, standings and top scorers. The same things a coach would look up by hand, already loaded for their team.
And because it syncs, the data stays up to date without anyone touching it.
Useful the same day
With the tournament synced, a coach can use Renó the same day they sign up. They log in, see their next opponent and start preparing the match: squad, kit, formation, corners and blocks.
And the link shared with the squad adds venue, time and weather. What used to be looked up in five different places arrives all together.
What you don't see
On screen, the sync has no button: the data is simply there. It's the least visible piece of the product and the one that delivers the most value.
What we took away
Sometimes an app's best feature is the work it saves a person before they even start. In Renó, that work was loading the tournament, and the app does it on its own.
