Fan Wheels sells die-cast cars on Instagram (Hot Wheels, Matchbox, Majorette, Tomica, Maisto, Greenlight). Its catalog lived on a rented platform that looked nothing like the brand. We replaced it with a site of its own, with a dashboard as simple as the one they already used.
What it does
- 01Catalog with filtersSearch by name, brand and series; filters by brand and scale; explicit pagination.
- 02Product pageGallery, availability and specs: scale, year, series, blister and stock.
- 03A cart that doesn't chargeIt writes the order message with items and total, and opens WhatsApp with everything filled in.
- 04Private dashboardProducts, photos, prices, banners, collections and the brand ticker, without touching code.
- 05Shelves by sectionThe lines that aren't cars, each with its own entry point.
Two conditions
No online payments: the order is put together on the web and closed on WhatsApp, which is where the shop actually sells. And the dashboard had to be simple: two people use it and neither of them is technical.
Product decisions
Each car has a single price, entered by hand: in an imports business, the day's exchange rate can't decide what a piece costs. The dashboard suggests a value, but the one the person enters wins.
Zero stock doesn't hide a product: it stays on the shelf with the reason in plain sight, because the catalog is also a showcase. And uploading a photo to a hidden product publishes it automatically: that was the click everyone always forgot.
How it's built
Next.js 16, React 19, TypeScript and Tailwind 4, with GSAP for the reveals and the brand ticker. Supabase for the data (Postgres with RLS), the two dashboard accounts and the photos. A glass interface, mobile first —the traffic comes from Instagram— and touch targets never smaller than 44 px.
The site is live with the full catalog and it's where Fan Wheels sends its followers. The shop publishes on its own from the dashboard. Now we're adding customer accounts, reviews and loyalty tiers.
“Fan Wheels was born from a passion we wanted to share with the whole car-loving community. We wanted to create a space where fans could find their favorite cars, discover what's new and feel part of something bigger. Today we're very happy with the result and with everything we're building. This is just the beginning.”
